We currently book plumbing appointments in 409 Florida cities. Work in this state is shaped by hard water, hurricane-season flood protection and heavy water-heater turnover, which keeps water heater replacement, drain and sewer work, and repiping in steady demand.

Licensing in Florida

Florida licenses plumbing contractors through the DBPR (CFC certified/registered). Pipe Well additionally requires proof of general liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 and a valid driver license before your first appointment. You remain the licensed contractor of record on every job.

Florida licenses statewide through the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) — Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB). Recognised classes include Certified Plumbing Contractor (CFC), Registered Plumbing Contractor (RF), Plumbing journeyman. Experience requirement: 4 years of active experience in the trade, at least 1 year of which must be as a foreman (Fla. Renewal: Two-year cycle. Certified contractors renew by August 31 of even-numbered years.

What the work looks like in Florida

Most of what we book is everyday service work rather than new construction: water heater replacement, drain and sewer clearing, leak location and repair, fixture swaps, and repipes. Local conditions matter — hard water, hurricane-season flood protection and heavy water-heater turnover — so the mix in Florida skews toward the jobs those conditions create. Appointments arrive tagged by urgency, so you know before you accept whether it is an emergency, a same-day call, a next-day booking or a scheduled installation.

You set your own prices. Pipe Well never tells you what to charge and never collects money from the customer on your behalf — the homeowner pays you directly, exactly as they would on any other job. What we sell is the booked appointment and the customer's commitment to a time, not a discount on your labour.

How a Florida appointment reaches you

  1. A homeowner in Florida calls us or books through our site.
  2. We qualify the job — what is wrong, the full address, and when they are actually available.
  3. We book a real appointment with a date and time window.
  4. Our system matches the address against every verified plumber whose ZIP and radius cover it, best-rated first, and texts the closest match.
  5. You reply YES and receive the customer's name, phone number and full address.
  6. You do the work and collect payment directly from the homeowner.
  7. You report what you collected and upload the supply house receipt. We invoice our half of what is left, due within 48 hours of you being paid.

Decline as many as you like — nothing is charged for an appointment you turn down, and it does not count against you.

Is it worth it in Florida?

The honest comparison is not our 50% against a $60 lead fee — it is cost per booked job. A shared lead sold to three or four Florida plumbers at $40–$85 that closes maybe one time in six works out well north of $300 per job actually won, plus the unpaid hours spent chasing the five that went nowhere. That money leaves your account whether or not you ever get paid.

Our share is larger in absolute dollars on a big ticket, and smaller — often zero — on everything that does not convert. If your trucks are already full, buy leads or do your own marketing instead; you will keep more. If you have open capacity, a new van to keep busy, or you have been burned buying leads that never turned into work, being paid nothing until the customer pays you is a very different risk. How the network pays

There is no subscription and no per-lead charge anywhere in Florida. When we send you an appointment and you complete the job, you collect payment directly from the customer. Your documented material costs come off the top, and Pipe Well is paid 50% of what is left: (amount collected from the customer − documented material cost) × 50% = Pipe Well's share, settled within 48 hours of that payment. On a $2,800 water heater job with $800 in materials, the net is $2,000, our share is $1,000 and you keep $1,800 — your half plus full reimbursement of your materials. Materials must be documented with receipts or invoices uploaded with the job; undocumented materials are not deducted, and labor, overhead, truck, fuel and taxes are not deducted either. If the customer never pays, nothing is owed.

Common questions from Florida plumbers

Is this leads or actual booked appointments?

Appointments. We advertise, answer the phone, qualify the job and agree a time with the homeowner, then send that appointment to one plumber. You are not racing other contractors to call a shared contact.

What does it cost to join?

Nothing — no signup fee, no monthly subscription, no per-lead charge. We are paid 50% of the job after your documented materials, and only after the customer has paid you.

What if the customer never pays me?

You owe us nothing. Our share is calculated on money you actually collected. We absorb the marketing cost of that job.

How far will I drive?

You set your ZIP and radius, 30 miles minimum. The text tells you the mileage before you accept.

Can I leave?

Yes, with seven days' written notice. No contract term, no minimum.

Who is this a bad fit for?

Anyone already booked solid, shops living off repeat and referral work, and plumbers doing mostly high-ticket repipes — on a big net, half is a lot of money.
